Seven Blind Mice

This picture book tells the story of seven mice. Each of the mice touch a different part if an elephant and reports back to the others about what he or she has touched. The tail becomes a rope, the leg a column. The seventh explored the whole elephant and realized that it was an elephant, not a part. The moral was to look at the whole picture, not just a part.
These illustrations are rich in texture. you can see the wrinkles in the elephant's skin and the bristles on it's tail.The use of the black background, white mice and bright colors for other things is very visually interesting.
